Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister Yasser Sorour highlighted the importance of shoring up cooperation among African states, especially to exchange expertise with regard to digging water wells.

He noted that Egypt has many successful experiments in that area in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, adding that it is willing to get African states to benefit from its expertise and technology in the domain.

As for the impact of building dams, he said dams sometimes have negative impact, especially with regard to sustainability.

He underlined the importance of sustainable water management, referring to modern technologies which help in reducing water waste.
