Mauritania seeks mobilization of $117 million to support youth - AFP

NOUAKCHOTT, Aug 6 (MENA) - The Mauritanian TV highlighted Egypt's key role in helping Mauritanian youth cadres over the past 55 years.

This came on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the opening of the Egyptian Cultural Center in the Mauritanian capital of Nouakchott, the Mauritanian TV aired a reportage on the major role played by the Egyptian center in promoting culture, lauding late President Gamal Abdel Nasser's role in opening this edifice in Nouakchott even before the Arab League's acknowledgment of Mauritania as a member of the pan-Arab body.

Speaking in the reportage, the director of the Egyptian culture center, Dr. Nashaat Deif, said the the Egyptian-Mauritanian relations are deeply-rooted and time-honored, asserting that the Mauritanian people are fond of the Egyptian civilization and culture.

The Egyptian center played a distinguished role in helping the Mauritanian students and researchers in all culture-related domains, Deif added.
