24 policemen killed, injured in east Afghanistan explosion

KABUL - 27 July 2019: Death toll from a car bomb explosion that took place in the eastern Afghan province of Ghazni climbed to four, said the Provincial Government in a statement on Saturday.

A car bomb went off in Aab Band district at around 4:30 am local time on Saturday, leaving four policemen dead and 20 others wounded, Afghan news agency Khaama Press reported.

Taliban militants claimed responsibility for the attack.
