CAIRO - 27 July 2019: Egypt condemned on Saturday the terror blast that rocked a government building in the Somali capital Mogadishu, leaving several people dead and wounded, including municipal officials.

Cairo expresses its deepest condolences to the victims' families, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Egypt's government and people stand by the government and people of Somalia against all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism, it said.

The statement stressed that Egypt supports efforts to reconstruct Somalian state institutions as well as to restore security and stability in the country
