CAIRO – 11 June 2017: Assistant Minister of Interior for transport and communications Kasem Hussein urged the mobilization of all forces in railway and metro stations, in light of security updates and attempts to spread chaos in the country.

During a tour at railway and metro stations Sunday, Hussein ordered to pursue checking and sterilizing the belongings of those entering the stations and not to allow anyone to enter without adequate search, as well as expanding the circle of political and criminal suspicion, according to a statement by the Ministry.

Hussein also directed to capture all outlaws and street vendors on the trains, and stressed on securing the stations by means of special explosive units.

The measures come in response to possible threats of outlaws targeting state institutions, including the trains and the metro, which are considered of outmost importance for the citizens, the statement read.
