CAIRO, July 8 (MENA) - Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit has stressed the importance of the digital map for libraries and Arab information centers launched in August 2018.

During the inauguration of the first regional Arab conference for digital map and Arab information centers on Monday, Abul Gheit called for offering all kinds of support to such academic projects.

For her part, Minister of Culture Enas Abdel Dayem said in a speech read out by Dr Hisham Azmy, the head of the Egyptian National Library and Archives, that the Arab digital maps play a key role in supporting modern applications.

In August 15, 2018, Arab League Assistant Secretary General and head of the Media and Communication Sector Ambassador Haifaa Abu Ghazala announced the launch of a digital map for libraries and Arab information centers at the AL headquarters in Cairo.
