CAIRO - 5 July 2019: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli arrived Friday at the operations room formed at the cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) to follow up the implementation of new transport fares in governorates in line with shifting the prices of petroleum products.

Earlier in the day, the petroleum ministry announced a rise in the prices of petroleum products as of 9 am.

The price of 92 octane grade petrol increased to EGP 8 per liter, while the price of 80 octane gasoline rose to EGP 6.75 per liter, the ministry said in a statement.

The new price of 95 octane fuel became EGP 9 per liter.

The price of butane gas cylinder for household consumption rose to EGP 65 per liter, according to the statement
