CAIRO -28 June 2019: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El Sisi on Friday took part in the inauguration of the 14th G20 summit Japan's Osaka.

The summit started with a working session on trade and investments in the world economy, said Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.

The participants discussed challenges and their impact on efforts for achieving sustainable development in the world countries, added the spokesman.

President Sisi headed to Japan on Thursday to participate in the two-day G20 Summit. he affirmed at the China-Africa mini summit early Friday the importance of activating the Chinese initiative, “Belt and Road,” which aims to enhance trade, investments, and infrastructure in than 150 countries in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. The initiative is a revival to what was known as “The Silk Road.”
