Sisi attends Eid al-Fitr celebration with martyrs' families

CAIRO - 5 June 2019: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi attended a celebration Wednesday with families of police and army victims to mark Eid al-Fitr (the Feast of Breaking the Fast).

The celebration was organized at the Manara Center with the aim to pay tribute to the martyrs and their families for their limitless sacrifices for the sake of Egypt.

President Sisi first welcomed families of the martyrs and victims and greeted them on Eid al-Fitr. He wished them all a happy feast. This is the second such celebration organized with families of the victims.

A documentary was played on the first celebration, which was held last year also at the Manara Center.

A troupe from the Galhoum Gymnastics Academy performed a show during the celebration.

Pop star Tamer Hosny participated in the event and sang a number of children and national songs.

The president then honored some of the martyrs' families.
