CAIRO – 2 June 2019: Egypt is embarking on a new project for blood plasma fractionation and processing, a source within the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

The source described the project as one of the most significant national projects.

The source further added in press remarks that the infrastructure and legal structure of the project are being considered in order for the first phase of the project to kick off.

The ministry, according to the source, is currently studying other examples of other countries that managed to establish labs for the processing and fractionation of blood plasma such as Russia, Brazil, China and India.

It is pertinent to mention that many countries spent large sums of money to initiate this project but failed to the lack of a clear vision and strategy for such a hulking project.
