CAIRO, May 21 (MENA) - The Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) will launch the first edition of the "Arab Government Excellence Award" during a ceremony to be held at the Arab League (AL) premises in Cairo on Thursday.

The award is sponsored by Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit.

The award seeks to bring forth significant improvement in the government performance of all Arab countries and stimulate competitiveness and knowledge sharing among Arab government institutions.

The event will witness the inking of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the organization and the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future.
