GAZA CITY, May 4 (MENA) - A Palestinian was killed on Saturday and several others were injured in Israeli shelling of a target in the north of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian news agency Wafaa quoted the Ministry of Health as saying.
It said Imad Mohammad Nasir, 22, was killed in the shelling and four others were injured bringing the total killed since yesterday to five.
Israeli warplanes and tanks stationed on the Israeli border with Gaza fired several missiles and shells at locations in the north and south of the Gaza Strip causing injuries and damage to property.
Meanwhile, militias in Gaza fired dozens of homemade rockets, estimated at 100, at southern Israeli towns in apparent retaliation for yesterday’s Israeli killing of Palestinians in Gaza.
Sirens were heard throughout the southern part of Israel and as far as the coastal city of Asqalan as the Israeli Iron Dome intercepted the rockets fired from Gaza.
