CAIRO - 28 April 2019: The Egyptian Company for Fish Marketing, owned by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, declared increasing the quantity supplied of fish at its outlets in Cairo and Giza by 50 percent to fulfill citizens’ needs in Sham El Nessim.

The company is also offering salted fish in prices less than elsewhere by 25 to 30 percent.

Minister Ali El Meselhy has affirmed that fish products will be supplied in greater quantities in prices less than the market price. Those will be available in outlets owned by companies affiliated with the ministry.

Sham El Nessim is the day that follows the eastern Easter in Egypt where people celebrate spring. On that day, people color eggs, and eat fish. The event dates back to Ancient Egypt.
