KHARTOUM, April 10 (MENA) - Sudanese protesters continued for the fifth day their sit-in outside the general command of the Armed Forces HQ in Khartoum.

Army forces were fanned out in the area, according to a statements on Wednesday.

The commander of Sudan's main paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan (aka Hemeti), said the RSF's mission is to protect people and state institutions.

He added that the RFS has nothing to do with peaceful protests, but they will not allow chaos.
