Armed man shoots dead police officer on night patrol in Nozha

CAIRO – 7 April 2019: A police officer was killed on Sunday on a night patrol, after an armed person shot at a police patrol in Cairo's Al-Nozha district, according to a security statement.



A police car driver later died of his wound, during the attack.

Officer Maged Abdel Razek was checking the security situation in the streets of Nozha, when he realized a black car carrying four people, with a hand-written car plate.



As he approached the car to check it, the driver got out of the car and shot at him and his accompanying personnel.

Further details about the identity of the murderers have not yet been revealed.
