CAIRO – 7 June 2017: Danish logistics group A.P. Moller-Maersk's Maersk Line has suspended shipments to Qatar, Al Arabiya satellite channel reported Tuesday.

Maersk announced that it is no longer able to transport goods in or out of Qatar following the recent trade restrictions imposed by several Arab countries on the tiny Gulf state.

Banning shipping from the port of Jebel Ali in the U.A.E. to Qatar, which relies on imports from land and sea, means that Maersk is no longer able to ship any cargo.

"We have confirmation that we will not be able to move Qatar-bound cargo in or out of Jebel Ali,” the Maersk Line spokesman said on Tuesday.

“Maersk will notify customers about alternative options as soon as possible,” the spokesman added.
