CAIRO – 1 April 2019: Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah called on Sunday for spreading the values of tolerance and dialogue to confront the phenomenon of terrorism.

This came during his speech at the 30th Arab Summit in Tunisia where he also condemned the terrorist attacks that have afflicted innocent people in New Zealand.

He added that the Arab countries are facing great challenges, stressing that unifying the Arab countries' positions is a must. Additionally, Sabah called for implementing the resolutions and recommendations of the Kuwait and Beirut summits to achieve the aspirations of the Arab peoples.

On the Palestinian issue, the emir of Kuwait said that the Palestinian cause is pivotal to all Arabs, asserting that the security of the world will continue to suffer deterioration unless the Palestinian issue is resolved.

The 30th Arab League Summit chaired by Tunisia which succeeds the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia kicked off on Sunday in Tunis and will be attended by 13 heads of state.

The summit’s agenda includes 20 topics. The main ones are the developments of the Palestinian cause, the status of Syria, Yemen, and Libya, and the recent U.S. president’s decision on the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
