AOI, BIBB sign cooperation protocol on technical education

CAIRO - 30 March 2019: The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) signed a cooperation protocol with the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) to train professional technical workers, and provide technical education for students.

The students will obtain degrees accredited in both Egypt and Germany through a vocational education and training program offered by the AOI and the entity representing BIBB in Egypt. The AOI manufactures a wide variety of civilian and military products, and serves the business-to-consumer and business-to-business sectors.

In its mid-year report submitted to the parliament, the Cabinet indicated that 1,176 teachers and officials in technical education schools and entrepreneurship centers were trained.

Partnership agreements with the private sector to establish schools at factories and execute dual training programs were concluded.

A total of 673 students were trained at schools affiliated with drinking water and sewage companies.

Plan set to boost technical education in Egypt

CAIRO - 11 June 2018: Minister of Education and Technical Education Tarek Shawki signed on Sunday cooperation protocols with several private companies to implement the "Egypt Makers" initiative, under the slogan "Learn.. Improve.. Work" to boost technical education in Egypt.
