KHARTOUM - 28 March 2019: Sudanese presidential aide and Chairman of the National Congress Party Ahmed Harun and Egypt's Ambassador to Sudan Hossam Issa asserted the depth of bilateral relations.

This came as the Sudanese president's aide was receiving the Egyptian ambassador here who was keen to congratulate him for gaining the confidence of the Sudanese political leadership and voice Egypt's support to the African country.

In statements to MENA, Issa said that the joint railway and power linkage projects were discussed during the meeting.

During the meeting, both sides asserted that relations between Egypt and Sudan are targeted by some parties, noting that any temporary rift between the two countries is overcome within the framework of the strategic approach of both countries.
