CAIRO – 5 March 2019: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly issued on Monday a decree including a map of areas that will be a top priority for the Upper Egypt Development Agency.

The first phase includes Nubia and Nasser Lake Axis, Halayeb, Shalatin, Qoseir and Safaga Axis, Kharga and Dakhla oases, Sohag and Qena, and the Golden Triangle lying between those two governorates and the Red Sea governorate.

The second phase consists of Asyut and Minya Axis extending to Farafra Oasis, Mars Alam Axis that includes Luxor and Edfu located northern Aswan governorate, Galala and Ain Sokhna Axis that extends to Fayum, Beni Suef, and Bahareya Oases.

The third phase covers the remaining parts of the Red Sea governorate, Toshki and Eastern Owaynat all the way to south New Valley governorate.
