Egypt participates in ILO Conference in Switzerland

CAIRO – 4 June 2017: Egypt’s Trade Union Federation (ETUF) Chairman Gebali El-Maraghi departed for Geneva, Switzerland Saturday with a high-level labor delegation to participate in the 106th session of the International Labor Conference, held by the International Labor Organization (ILO).

The conference will discuss the problems of labor and workers in the entire world and will be attended by 182 countries. All of the countries are committed to forming a tripartite delegation of the government, businessmen and workers.

Wahab-Allah, Secretary General for the Egyptian Labor Union, added that during the ILO conference, the tripartite delegation will emphasize that Egypt is much better than in previous years and is abiding by the international labor standards in all new labor legislation.

He also said that the organization confirmed that Egypt is moving forward in improving the working conditions despite the circumstances it went through in the last period.
