CAIRO - 12 February 2019: The African Youth Bureau launches a series of definitions on the founding fathers of the African Union

The African Youth Bureau, at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, coinciding with the Egypt’s Presidency of the African Union, has launched a series of definitions - in Arabic, English and French - devoted to the founding fathers of the African Union, starting with the Ethiopian emperor "Haile Selassie"; which also coincides with the unveiling ceremony of the statue of the late emperor, erected at the AU headquarters, in the presence of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and African leaders taking part in the African summit.

The Bureau also announced the launch of an Experimental Research Unit whose main objective is to support the State’s orientation to educate young people about Africa.

It should be noted that the first production of the Research Unit was a series of definitions entitled "Egypt and the African House over a 55-year period" that the Unit started before Egypt assumed the presidency of the African Union. The last of these definitions included Egypt's achievements in Africa under the reign of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi entitled "Al-Sisi and the Return of the Golden Age of African Egypt". This series received an excellent interaction on social media.

On the other hand, the African Youth Bureau is coordinating with the Youth Gate of Egypt to invite young African writers residing abroad to join the Working Group, within the framework of the Ministry’s policy of openness regarding Africa as a State institution.
