Qatari Minister of Defense survives assassination attempt

CAIRO – 3 June 2017: Qatar’s Minister of State for Defense Affairs Khalid bin Mohammed al-Attiyah survived an assassination attempt on Saturday, Qatari sources revealed.

The government has not officially confirmed or denied the assassination attempt.

Attiyah is reportedly under investigation for controversial statements attributed to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
