CAIRO – 3 June 2017: Security forces will take control, starting from Saturday, over schools where the general secondary exams (Thanaweya Amma) will take place. The general secondary school exams are scheduled to kick off on Sunday.

The Ministry of Interior allocated several security forces nationwide. The security forces hope their security measures stop thuggery and cheating. Security chiefs directed their forces to stick to the plan and avoid any security breaches that may be caused by the relatives of students.

For the first time in Egypt, the Ministry of Education decided to use inspection gates at the entrance of 75 turbulent examination rooms, so that the students could be inspected before the exam. Well-informed educational sources revealed that each ‘turbulent’ examination room will be secured by five guards from Falcon Group, a private security company.

For the secondary school exams outside Cairo, 50 security formations are allocated to secure and maintain order in Kafr el-Sheikh governorate (134 km north of Cairo, in the Nile Delta of Lower Egypt), security chief Major-General Sameh Mosalam said.
