Azhar Imam heads for Abu Dhabi to hold summit with Vatican Pope

CAIRO, Feb 2 (MENA) - Grand Imam of Al Azhar Sheikh Ahmed El Tayyeb will head on Sunday for Abu Dhabi to hold a historic summit with Pope Francis of the Vatican.

Sheikh Tayyeb's visit comes at an invitation from Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nuhayyan.

Abu Dhabi visit and meeting are very important at the Arab and international levels as this is the firs time a Vatican pope visits the Arab peninsula.

An international conference on humanitarian fraternity will be held on the sidelines of the visit.
