Cabinet responds to Nazlet El Seman demolition videos

CAIRO - 30 January 2019: The Cabinet issued a statement to deny the displacement of all the residents of Nazlet Al Seman district at Giza governorate, and the demolition of all its buildings in order to sell the land to an Arab investor.

The Cabinet clarified that only four buildings - that had no residents - were demolished because they were illegally built in an archeological site without a license. The district is very close to the Giza Plateau having the pyramids.

The statement is a response to the circulation of videos on social media showing the demolition process.
