CAIRO, Jan 26 (MENA) - Secretary General of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) Hassan el Beblawi on Saturday hailed the importance that Egypt attaches to the children with special needs.

Egypt's interest in this category was reflected after President Abdel Fattah El Sisi announced 2018 as the year of people with disabilities, during which a law on their rights was issued, the ACCD chief said.

In statements to MENA, Beblawi added that 2018 has shed light on the issues of the people with disabilities and means of integrating them into public life, citing their great achievements in sports fields.

Egypt's interest in this humanitarian issue comes to crown the efforts of the ACCD which adopted the file of the children with special needs in light of the growing international awareness of this issue, he added.
