CAIRO - 18 January 2019: Remains of an Egyptian national, who was missing for 15 years in Italy, were sent back home on Thursday on an EgytpAir flight from the city of Milan, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower.

Jassim Eid Abdel-Khalek al-Adham, originally from Kafr al-Zayat city of Gharbyia governorate (Delta), was missing since 2004 and his remains were found in an abandoned building in the city of Piacenza when workers started destroying the building in July 2018, the statement added.

After conducting DNA tests, Adham was identified and his relatives were notified.

The reason behind his death has not been revealed yet.

A day earlier, a dead body of another Egyptian national, who was killed in Jordan, was deported back home, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday.

The Egyptian authorities are following up all legal procedures against a Jordanian man over stabbing Egyptian Abdel Gawad Ali, 30, to death in the northern city of Irbid, the Ministry added in a statement.
