CAIRO - 28 December 2018: Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawki Allam has condemned the terrorist attack on Marioteya tourist bus on Friday.

He added in a statement that this kind of criminal acts completely incompatible with all of the religions’ teachings. He affirmed that Egypt’s officials and people will stand strong facing these terrorist attacks.

Two Vietnamese tourists killed earlier on Friday and ten others were injured in a tourist bus explosion in Marioteya district, near Giza governorate.

According to statement issued by Egypt’s interior ministry, the explosion came due to primitive explosive device. Fourteen tourists were reported on bus, all of them were Vietnamese.

The explosion surrounding area was evacuated and security measures were taken according to the statement.

Both of Health and Interior Ministers moved to terrorist attack location to follow up with the updates.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly was reported to be following the attack’s updates along with the interior minister, Giza Governor and other security bodies.

Madbouly directed to provide all necessary medical measures for the injured.
