CAIRO, Dec 23 (MENA) – Egypt attaches great importance to promoting trade cooperation with Africa ahead of chairing the Africa Union in 2019, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted on Saturday.

This came during the premier’s speech at the opening session of the 5th "Akhbar Al Youm" Economic Conference, which kicked off on Saturday evening and is expected to last for two days.

Egypt has encountered many challenges topped by adopting an economic reform program, the PM said adding that government seeks to lure more investments by overcoming any obstacles and following transparent mechanisms and laws to regulate this matter, Madbouli added.

Over 1500 persons participate in the conference, including entrepreneurs, manufactures, MPs and NGO representatives, among other relevant parties.
