Trump to nominate Heather Nauert as next ambassador to U.N.

WASHINGTON - 7 December 2018: US President Donald Trump plans to nominate State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert as the next US ambassador to the United Nations, The Washington Post quoted two senior administration officials as saying.

Nauert joined the State Department last year with no government experience after a career as an anchor and correspondent at Fox News.

She would replace Nikki Haley, who was twice elected governor of South Carolina.
