PM convenes meeting to pursue World Youth Forum recommendations

CAIRO – 12 November 2018: Prime Minster Mostafa Madbouli held a meeting on Monday to follow up on recommendations of the World Youth Forum to train Arab and African youth, in the presence of Minister of Planning Hala Al Saeed.

The prime minister also held a meeting on Monday morning with the Economic Group, in the presence of a huge number of ministers in order to pursue the economic files that government would work on.

Moreover, the Prime Minster will meet the Greek ambassador to advance cooperation between the two countries. He is scheduled to meet the Chairman of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank.

The World Youth Forum was held for the second consecutive year in Sharm Al-Sheikh from November 3-6, under the auspicious of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

The World Youth Forum has gathered youth from around the world to exchange their views and recommend initiatives to influential figures and decision makers.

At the end of this forum, Sisi announced 10 decisions:

1- The Egyptian city of Aswan was declared the capital city of African youth for 2019.

2- Egypt declared that Sharm El Sheikh would be the meeting point for integration between African and Arab states.

3- The National Training Academy is entrusted to evolve mechanisms for training Arab and African youth in the political, economic and social fields.

4- All Egyptian institutions must uphold the principles of combating terrorism and preserving human life.

5- A research group would be established to study pros and cons of using social media, under the supervision of World Youth Forum’s administration.

6- Egyptian institutions must cooperate with World Youth Forum’s administrations to increase public awareness about serious issues such as water security.

7- An international initiative was launched to train 10,000 Egyptian and African youth on electronic gaming and application developments ,as well as supporting the establishment of 100 companies in Egypt and Africa.

8- All Egyptian institutions would be directed to establish a central regional entrepreneurship in Egypt to provide essential supports and needs.

9- A committee would be formed to erect the Humanity Revival Memorial in Sharm El Sheikh to became an international organization aiming to preserve the principles of humanity and support victims of terror.

10- Cabinet has been assigned to form a committee comprising the ministers of social solidarity and foreign affairs, and concerned bodies in the state so as to prepare a comprehensive vision for modifying the law regulating the work of NGOs and civil society organizations in Egypt by examining the experience of other countries in that field.
