CAIRO - 11 November 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on Saturday ordered the ministries of agriculture and irrigation to work together for solving problems facing farmers.

This comes during Sisi's meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Ezz Eldin Abu Steit.

The meeting reviewed achievements made in 2018, challenges and ways to overcome them within the implementation of presidential directives to establish new agricultural communities, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement.

Sisi ordered to continue the institutional development of the ministry's sectors and departments, in addition to following non-traditional methods to overcome the challenges and to support successful projects, added Radi.

He affirmed the importance of preparing integrated studies before implementing the agricultural projects to ensure their success.
