CAIRO – 28 May 2017: King Abdullah II of Jordan said that Minya terrorist attack would increase Egypt's determination to continue its efforts against terrorism, according to a statement from the Egyptian Presidency on Sunday.

In a phone call, King Abdullah II offered his condolences to Egypt and the families of Minya attack victims, affirming his country’s support to Egypt against terrorism.

Twenty-nine people were killed and at least 25 others injured after unknown gunmen opened fire at the bus, which was carrying more than 40 Coptic Christians, on Friday along Western Desert Road in Minya on Friday.

The Islamic State (IS) terrorist group claimed its responsibility for the attack; Egyptian Air Forces, in cooperation with the Libyan armed forces, launched six airstrikes on terrorist hotbeds in Libya on Friday, after it has been confirmed that those terrorists are involved in Minya attack.
