CAIRO – 28 May 2017: Egypt is the spearhead of the war against terrorism, Deputy President of the Libyan Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord Ali Faraj al-Qatrani said on Saturday.

Al-Qatrani stated in a statement that Libya is fully overwhelmed with the Egyptian authorities operations. He said that the two countries are coordinating together to fight terrorism in Egypt and Libya.

Libya expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims martyred in the terrorist attack occurred in Minya on Friday, al-Qatrani said.

He stressed the Libyan support to Egypt in the war against the overseas terrorism. He added that terrorists committing crimes in both countries are funded by the same resource to destabilize the Egyptian societal peace through driving wedges between Muslims and Copts.
