BELGRADE - 18 October 2018: Egypt's Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdallah managed to clinch several tourism cooperation deals with Serbia during his visit to Belgrade, the Egyptian ambassador to Serbia said.

During a reception held at the end of Abdallah's visit to Belgrade on Thursday, Ambassador Amr el Goweili said Abdallah reached agreements with Serbia on operating new flights from Nis Airport in addition to establishing joint tourism projects, including floating hotels.

The governor - who led a large tourism delegation to Serbia - had official talks with the Serbian ministers of tourism, foreign affairs, trade and communications, Goweili noted.

He expounded that Egypt is keen on promoting coordination with Arab and African countries as it will chair the African Union in 2019.

Meanwhile, Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdallah said meeting with the Egyptian community in Serbia would push forward development efforts in the governorates.

He reviewed economic and social development in the tourism-attractive governorate.

He said the Red Sea governorate's story of success is an example to be followed at the Arab and African levels.
