CAIRO - 27 May 2017: A few days prior to the Egyptian airstrikes on the hotbeds of the jihadis of “Majlis Shura Mujahidi Derna” (the Shura Council of the Mujahedeen of Derna in Libya), the Qatari-based channel, Aljazeera, aired Friday a promo of its documentary voicing the statements of the jihadi leaders, citing their defense.

Aljazeera, banned in Egypt, will broadcast a documentary citing the efforts of the group in fighting militants of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, and liberating Derna and Sirte in Libya.

Egypt launched airstrikes on the militant group in Derna city on Friday, based on information that they executed the terrorist attack against the Christians in Minya governorate in Upper Egypt, killing 28 and injuring 25.

Following the controversial statements of Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Egypt banned most of the Qatari media outlets, including Aljazeera website.
