CAIRO – 27 May 2017: Minister of Health and Population Ahmed Emad El-Din Rady is set to personally operate on two injured victims of Minya terrorist attack Saturday, Advisor to the Minister of Health for Emergency and Intensive Care Sherif Wadie stated.

The minister has been following up on all the victims, Wadie said, adding that Rady performed two surgeries Friday on a child and a 50-year old lady who were injured in the attack.

While on its way to St. Samuel Monastery in Minya governorate, south of Cairo, a bus carrying more than 50 Copts was intercepted by gunmen in three SUVs on Friday, leaving at least 29 dead and dozens injured, including children.

Wadie further stressed that the crisis room in the ministry is following up on all victims and working on providing necessary medical care for them.
