President Sisi praised the role played by USAID in Egypt to finance small and medium-sized enterprises in support of Egypt's economic and social reform, Radi said, adding that the President also highlighted the strong relations between the two countries in fields of health, education and tourism.

The meeting also tackled Egypt’s efforts in maximizing women’s role in the society, and the protection of children and youth’s rights, Radi continued.

Mrs Trump was received by her Egyptian counterpart Entissar al-Sisi at the Cairo International Airport.

The First Lady left Washington Tuesday to make stops in Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt in a week-long journey focusing on children. The first lady has said that she looks forward to spreading the message of her “Be Best” child-welfare initiative. She launched the campaign in May to focus on the overall child well-being, with an emphasis on opioid addiction and online behavior.
