CAIRO - 1 October 2018: Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram discussed on Monday with Dutch Ambassador in Cairo Laurens Westhoff means to support the health sector in Egypt.

The ministry said in a statement that the Dutch diplomat received Makram at his residence who thanked him and appreciated his country's efforts to support Egypt.

The minister stressed the importance of communication between Egyptian scientists abroad the homeland, and praised their role in performing heart surgeries at the National Heart Institute.

She praised the efforts exerted by the Dutch ambassador to strengthen relations between the peoples of Egypt and the Netherlands.

For is part, Saeed Othman, deputy head of the Egyptian-Dutch Friendship Association said an Egyptian team of experts is working to transfer the most up-to-date methods in the fields of heart surgery and endoscopes in cooperation with the Ministry of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates at the National Heart Institute and Demerdash hospital.
