CAIRO – 26 May 2017: A group of masked gunmen attacked a bus of Coptic Christians in the Egyptian governorate of Minya, killing at least 29 people, official state television announced Friday.

Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo said the lights of the Eiffel Tower would go dark after midnight in solidarity with the victims.

Tour Eiffel’s official Facebook announced that the Eiffel Tower lights will be symbolically turned off at 12:45 am, tonight, to pay tribute to the victims of the Egypt attack.

Condemnations have been pouring in from several countries and organizations following the attack.
