CAIRO – 26 May 2017: The air strikes launched by the Egyptian Air Forces in Derna, eastern Libya, came in collaboration with the General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces, head of the Libyan Air Force Major-General Saqr Adam Geroushi said Friday.

Six targeted air raids destroyed a main terrorist training facility, Geroushi added.

The aerial operation comes hours after the terrorist attack on a civilian bus in Minya, Upper Egypt, where at least 28 Copts, including children, were shot dead.

In a televised Friday statement, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi said Egypt will not hesitate to target terrorists inside and outside Egypt.

President Sisi declared during the statement that the army launched an air strike against terrorist training camps supported by IS to carry out terrorist operations on Egyptian soil.
