Al-Azhar condemns Minya terrorist attack

CAIRO – 26 May 2017: Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb has condemned the terrorist attack on a bus carrying dozens of Coptic Christians on Friday, leaving 25 people killed and 23 other injured.

“No Muslim or Christian can ever agree on Minya attack, which targeted the stability in Egypt. I call on the Egyptians to stand together against the brutal terrorism,” Tayeb said during his visit Berlin where he will discuss peaceful acceptance of different religions.

Twenty-five people were killed and at least 23 others injured in a shooting attack targeted a bus carrying more than 40 Coptic Christians on Friday in Upper Egypt, according to the Ministry of Health.
