Foreign Ministry to host permanent committee meetings on Egypt-Africa ties

CAIRO - 17 September 2018: The Foreign Ministry will host meetings of the permanent committee for promoting relations between Egypt and other African countries next week.

The committee has been formed upon a decision by the Prime Minister to coordinate efforts by various ministries to enhance Egypt's presence in the African arena with the participation of the private sector.

A number of documents and studies have been prepared with the various bodies to take part in the committee meetings to activate Egypt's presence, Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Hamdi Sanad Luza said Monday.

The ministry, through Egypt's embassies in the African countries, made a survey of the names of Egyptian companies that are operating in Africa, whether through investments or exportation of products, or wish to be present in the African markets so as to offer them any support they need to be be able to operate effectively and successfully., he added.
