CAIRO – 15 September 2018: The Cairo Criminal Court decided to delay till October 3 the retrial of 22 elements of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood including former president Mohamed Morsi and the group guide Mohamed Badie over espionage charges.

The defendants are charged with collaboration with foreign organizations outside the country, revealing national security secrets and coordinating with armed groups inside and outside Egypt to launch terrorist attacks inside Egypt.

Morsi and his co-defendants are accused of leaking classified information about the national security and the Armed Forces with the aim of harming Egypt's army and national interests.

The classified documents included information on military positions and armament, as well as additional information on the country's policies.
