CAIRO – 14 September 2018: Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria presided over the prayers of the holy mass during the inauguration of Queen Helena Church in New York in the presence of Bishop David, the Bishop of New York.



Pope Tawadros headed an ecclesiastical delegation including his own secretaries and a number of bishops.

The pope's first official visit to the U.S. took place in 2015, where he met with the Coptic community, local leaders and U.S. government and religious leaders.

The pope's second visit was in 2017, yet but it was postponed as the pope had to undergo a surgery.
