UNRWA commissioner-general to hold press conf. in Cairo on Monday

CAIRO - 9 September 2018: UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East UNRWA Commissioner-General Pierre Krähenbühl will hold a press conference on Monday at the UN media center in Cairo to review the results of talks he held with Arab and Egyptians officials during his current visit to Cairo.

Krähenbühl will attend the meeting of the Arab League's foreign ministers in an attempt to overcome the current unprecedented finance crisis of the UNRWA, the UN media center in Cairo said.

The UNRWA lost $300 million after the US decided to cut down the funding it presents to the organization.
