CAIRO – 1 September 2018: Local and international media outlets have widely highlighted President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s recent visit to Bahrain, China and Uzbekistan.
Under the title of “the strategic importance of the Bahraini-Egyptian summit,” Bahraini newspaper Akhbar El Khaleej emphasized the “fruitful” results of the cooperation between the two states, in light of the major challenges aimed at weakening the Arab nations.
The newspaper further stressed that relations between Egypt and Bahrain stand as a fine model in terms of mutual consensus in the visions and close coordination in various regional and international issues.
“Within the framework of the Anti-Terrorism Quartet, Bahrain and Egypt will remain in the forefront of Arab nations to address the challenges that threaten Arab national security, whether regional or international,” the newspaper added.
President Sisi embarked Thursday on a tour to Bahrain, China and Uzbekistan.
Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa welcomed President Sisi upon his arrival at Bahrain International Airport on an official visit to the Kingdom, Bahrain News Agency reported on Thursday.
The first stop in Sisi’s trip was Bahrain, where he met with the Bahraini King and a number of princes, ministers and senior officials, according to a presidential statement.
CAIRO - 31 August 2018: Egypt's President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi participated in a number of events held on Thursday in the framework of his visit to Bahrain. An official reception ceremony was held earlier upon the arrival of the Egyptian president at the Gudaibiya Palace.
Kuwait's Al-Siyassa newspaper described Sisi’s visit to China as “strategic”, adding that it will open up a new channel for more future cooperation between Beijing and African and Arab countries, given it being an economic power.
The president will also visit the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China, also known as the Central Party School, located in Beijing and is the higher education institution that trains officials for the ruling political party, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP.)
Both leaders will sign a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding addressing the development of joint cooperation between the two sides in a number of fields, according to the presidency’s spokesperson Bassam Radi.
Sisi will conclude his trip with a visit to the Uzbek capital of Tashkent. It is considered the first official visit of an Egyptian president to Uzbekistan.
Sisi is scheduled to meet with the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and a number of senior Uzbek officials, during which both sides will discuss strengthening bilateral relations and sign agreements of joint cooperation in different fields.
CAIRO - 18 February 2018: Uzbek Ambassador in Cairo Oybek Usmanov Arifbekovich said an Uzbek business team - that wrapped up a visit to Egypt on Saturday - had successful talks with Egyptian officials and businessmen on means of enhancing trade and economic cooperation.
