ALGIERS - 28 August 2018: Egyptian Ambassador here Omar Abu Eish said on Tuesday that all Egyptians living in Algeria are safe with no cholera cases among them.

In statements to MENA, he added that the embassy is following up the situation since the announcement of the spread of cholera in the country.

The embassy is contacting the bodies concerned such as the ministry of health and the World Health Organization to obtain the required guidelines for dealing with the disease, he added.

The embassy has already published these guidelines on its official Facebook page, he pointed out.

Also, the embassy has allocated a hotline for the Egyptian community here to contact it immediately in case of any suspected case, he added.

Up to 6,000 Egyptians are living in Algeria.
