Security forces inspect the site of the explosion in Dokki district, Giza, nine people were injured- Egypt Today /Ahmed Maarouf

CAIRO – 6 August 2018: The injured toll of the vehicle explosion that took place in Dokki, Giza, rose to 13 people, said Health Ministry spokesperson, Khaled Megahed, on Monday.

The injured people suffer slight burns; seven of them were admitted to Agouza Hospital, four were sent to Al-Qasr Al-Eini Hospital, and two are currently hospitalized in Al-Salam Hospital, he added.

According to the initial investigation, a private car exploded and caused the severe damage of two other cars and a minibus.

The Ministry of Interior announced that it launched an investigation to uncover the reason behind the explosion.

As a result of the incident, security forces made several changes and conversions to ease the traffic within Dokki and Mohandeseen districts, where the blast took place.
